Wilderness implings are a high risk Hunter activity, and the rewards get better the deeper you travel. Catch them with an empty impling jar and a butterfly net, or barehand them if you meet the higher Hunter requirement.

How it works

Catching with a net gives you the impling jar to open later.
Barehand catching gives the jar's reward instantly.
Any impling caught in the Wilderness gives a bonus wilderness reward on top of its normal loot.
Deeper wilderness levels spawn stronger implings more often.
Dragon implings can appear at any depth, but are rare.

Lucky implings

Lucky impling jar Lucky implings are the rarest wilderness encounter.

Only two can be alive in the Wilderness at once.
One may appear in level 20 to 40 Wilderness. The rest appear in deep Wilderness.
A Lucky catch is announced to the world, including the wilderness level.
They can reward an Elite or Master clue scroll.

Watch world announcements if you want to hunt the rarest one. The announcement tells you where it was caught.

Clue scroll rewards

All impling clue scrolls are usable immediately. Simply Read the scroll to complete it and receive its casket.

Elite and Master clue scrolls only come from Dragon and Lucky implings.

Wilderness bonus loot

Every wilderness impling gives an additional bonus reward on top of its normal loot. These can include:

Herb and tree seeds
Bones
Noted food, ores and logs
Rune stacks
Coins

Nature, Magpie, Ninja, Dragon and Lucky implings also have their own bonus reward pools. Lucky, Dragon and Ninja implings can roll the exclusive cosmetic capes below.

Cosmetic capes

These nine capes are wilderness impling exclusives and share a single drop pool. Equip them in the Apex cosmetic cape slot to activate their perk.

The Reaper cape is deliberately the rarest of the nine, at roughly a fifth the chance of any other.

Cadarn and Amlodd capes become inactive at zero charges but are not destroyed. Impling capes cannot be worn in the normal cape equipment slot.

Quick tips

Bring an empty impling jar and a butterfly net if you want to save catches for later.
Bring food, teleports and anti-PK gear. The best impling rewards are in dangerous areas.
Barehand catches need a higher Hunter level but give the reward immediately.
