A New End-Game Progression Update

This update brings together a dangerous shared Wilderness dungeon, two mechanic-driven solo bosses, new Radiant upgrades, and clearer end-game cape progression. The systems are connected without forcing everyone down one route: the Radiant Cave rewards long-term specialization, Maggot King and Mad Angel reward learning their mechanics, and the Upgrade Machine turns those rewards into focused gear progression.

Radiant Cave

Open the Teleport interface and select Radiant Cave to reach the entrance. You will receive a warning before entering. The Radiant Tamer's entrance pocket is safe, but crossing deeper into the cave places you in a shared, multi-combat Wilderness area that scales from level 45 to 70. Attacks cannot cross the safe boundary.

Normal teleports are blocked inside the cave. Return to the Radiant Tamer when you want to leave. The Tamer is also the central hub for paths, tasks, shops, sacrifices, perk information, and currency options.

Choose a Path

Blood, Sacred, and Soul progression path interface

Radiant path perk tiers and permanent point milestones

Speak to the Radiant Tamer and choose Open Radiant paths, then select one of three specializations. Your permanent path points strengthen its combat benefit at 25, 100, 250, and 500 points. The benefit is active when you are using that path and have at least one matching path item equipped.

Blood rewards risk. Its PvM damage bonus grows as your health falls, reaching up to 25% at very low health.
Soul rewards Prayer management. Its damage bonus scales with your current Prayer, up to 10%.
Sacred is the PvP path. Its bonus grows with Wilderness rating, reaching up to 30% PvM damage and 15% PvP damage.

You can change paths, but not while a task is unfinished or waiting to be claimed. Task rewards always remain tied to the path that assigned the task.

Tasks and Progress

Choose New Task, defeat the named Radiant target in the dangerous section, then return to the interface and press Claim. Off-target kills do not advance the assignment. Assignments rotate between cave depths so the system keeps moving you through the dungeon.

Tasks range from 24 to 60 kills before cave-tier scaling. Tougher targets award more path points and essence, with the deepest Tormented Demon task paying 6 points and 115 essence. Radiant Skip and Radiant Pick scrolls can replace an unfinished task; completed tasks must be claimed first.

Each path also has repeatable objectives. Blood tracks finishing-blow overkill damage, Soul asks you to bury Radiant bones, and Sacred emphasizes dangerous-cave PvP and time spent in the cave with another living player present. All three paths also reward streaks of five completed tasks.

Essence, Materials, and Shops

Blood, Sacred, and Soul Radiant shops and essence balances

Each path has its own essence balance, capped at 5,000. Essence is spent in that path's shop; path points are permanent and are not consumed. A Radiant Voucher adds 100 essence to your active path when there is room for the full amount. Eligible matching gear can also be sacrificed for up to 100 essence.

The three shops contain 25 rewards across Blood, Sacred, and Soul, priced from 3,500 to 4,900 essence. Blood offers melee-focused weapons and jewellery, Sacred carries ranged gear and Radiant Inquisitor pieces, and Soul carries magic weapons, jewellery, and the Radiant Dizana's quiver. The Tamer also sells a 5,000-essence Slayer key perk that permanently banks tier 3 and tier 4 Slayer keys when space is available.

Radiant NPCs can drop Radiant divine essence and Radiant Fibre for the Upgrade Machine. Staying active in the dangerous cave improves the chance of these two materials after 15, 30, 45, and 60 eligible minutes, reaching a 10% cave-material bonus. Eligible time pauses unless another living player is present in the dangerous cave and resets when you leave, enter safety, die, or log out.

Every qualifying Radiant NPC also drops one Radiant bone. A qualifying PvP kill drops 15 Radiant bones for the killer. These bones can only be buried in the dangerous Radiant Cave, where they advance the Soul objective.

Maggot King

Maggot King encounter inside its private lair

Maggot King is a private solo boss with no quest requirement. Use the boss teleport list to enter the encounter. The fight begins at range behind a bone wall and gradually opens a dangerous melee punish window.

How the Fight Works

Start with ranged or magic while the King is protected by the wall.
After a screech, the King swaps between ranged and magic. Do not keep a protection prayer active through the screech: praying at that moment causes damage.
Ranged attacks leave poisonous bile. Magic attacks leave sticky bile that drains a combat stat and delays your attacks.
Kill airborne larvae with ranged attacks. Once they land, they crawl toward players, leech anyone they touch, and heal the boss.
Below roughly 65% health, the King follows screeches with a wall slam. Avoid the three-tile-wide lane, then click the exposed head to Strike it with an empowered melee hit.
Below 20% health, the King can repeat its slams, so movement and timing become more important than standing still for damage.

Choose Your Reward

After the kill, only the eligible killer can claim the corpse. You must choose one reward route:

Open-stomach gives a main-table reward and can roll the Elder venator fang, Crimson kisten, donated-value rewards, and the Maggot Marquess pet.
Take-eggs rolls from six egg types instead of the Open-stomach reward route. It does not include the direct Open-stomach pet roll.

An Elite clue can be rolled from either choice. Aranei trades venator fangs and teeth one-for-one for dragon arrowtips and dart tips. She also accepts 25 tarnished items for one hour of +25% Maggot King reward chance; this service has a two-hour cooldown.

Mad Angel and Fallen From Grace

Fighting Mad Angel during Fallen From Grace

Speak to Cormac at home to begin Fallen From Grace

Mad Angel begins with the Fallen From Grace quest from Cormac at home. The quest requires 60 Crafting, 53 Mining, and 47 Runecraft. You may follow the full investigation or take a shorter seven-step route. Completing either route unlocks the repeatable private Mad Angel fight through the boss teleport list.

Learn the Three Specials

The Angel uses three normal melee attacks before a special and will not deliberately repeat the same special twice in a row.

Sword sweep: move behind the Angel for safety, or dodge on the side opposite her sword. A successful side dodge empowers your next attack.
Light blast: stand exactly on the marked shadow to catch the light and bounce it back. The sequence can bounce up to three times. Missing it causes an arena-wide explosion.
Smite: switch Protect from Magic on at the moment of impact. Perfect timing negates the hit and empowers your next attack; praying early only reduces the damage.

At roughly 46% health, Mad Angel enrages and opens with sweep, light blast, and smite in sequence. Stabilize the mechanics before returning to damage.

Quest Choice and Repeatable Rewards

The full investigation awards 2 Catalyst Mystery Boxes, 1,000 added to your donator-rank amount, and three hours of +15% Mad Angel drop rate. The short route awards 1 Catalyst Mystery Box, 200 added to your donator-rank amount, and one hour of +5% drop rate. Both routes award 10,000 Crafting XP, 5,000 Mining XP, and 5,000 Runecraft XP.

The one-time quest Angel advances the story but does not use the repeatable reward table. Repeatable kills guarantee 200–280 Granite dust and one main-table roll. That table includes 1 × Goading T2 (1), Radiant Skip and Radiant Pick scrolls, granite cannonballs, supplies, a shiny pet bonus token, an ornament kit, and donated-value rewards. Hallowfell, Jar of light, the highest donated-value scroll, and Aggy the pet have separate rolls. The Angel returns dormant in the same active instance after a short delay, ready to be awakened again.

Read the complete Mad Angel guide → for the quest routes, boss mechanics, repeatable rewards, and ornate cannon.

Ornate Dwarf Cannon

Repeatable Mad Angel kills can award the Shattered cannon ornament kit from the main reward table. Building the complete Ornate Dwarf Cannon requires four kits: use one kit on each standard cannon piece—the base, stand, barrels, and furnace.

Each piece is upgraded separately, so one kit does not convert the entire cannon set. The upgraded pieces can also be dismantled to recover the original cannon piece and its kit.

The completed ornate cannon accepts both regular and granite cannonballs. It holds twice the normal rank-based ammunition capacity and can hit up to 35 with regular cannonballs or 45 with granite cannonballs.

New Radiant UGM Upgrades

Radiant divine essence and Radiant Fibre now feed a focused set of Upgrade Machine recipes. Each recipe below has a 75% base success rate before account bonuses:

Upgrade	Required gear	Radiant material
Radiant Virelith hat, robe top, or robe bottom	Matching Virelith piece	10 Radiant divine essence
Radiant Masori mask, body, or chaps	Matching Demonic Masori piece	10 Radiant Fibres
Radiant Kicks	Avernic treads (max)	5 Radiant Fibres + 5 Radiant divine essence
Radiant Rupture	Necklace of rupture + Amulet of the monarchs	2 Radiant Fibres + 2 Radiant divine essence

Radiant Virelith adds magic accuracy, defence, 1% Magic damage, and 1 Prayer to each matching piece. Radiant Masori trades a small amount of ranged accuracy and strength for much stronger defences and 2 Prayer per piece. Radiant Kicks improve every attack style, add meaningful ranged defence, and raise melee strength, ranged strength, Magic damage, and Prayer, making them a true hybrid upgrade.

Radiant Rupture is the high-end hybrid jewellery upgrade. It provides +35 in every attack and defence style, +18 melee strength, +18 ranged strength, +12% Magic damage, and +12 Prayer.

Completionist Cape Path Readjustments

The Completionist Cape upgrade tree has been reorganized so melee, ranged, magic, and final hybrid progression are easier to understand.

Mythical Completionist Cape is now the magic branch. It starts from any regular imbued god Completionist Cape plus a Mythical cape, with a 65% base success rate.
Ice Completionist Cape is now the final regular hybrid. It can be attempted from any regular terminal branch—Infernal, Ardougne, or Mythical—at a 65% base success rate.
Infernal Completionist Cape (l) now accepts any trimmed terminal donor: Fire, Assembler, or an imbued god variant. It uses two Infernal capes and has a 60% base success rate.

The Ice Completionist Cape's placeholder stats have also been replaced with final hybrid stats: +40 in every attack style, +30 in every defence style, +18 melee strength, +14 ranged strength, +8% Magic damage, and +12 Prayer. This places it alongside the top trimmed hybrid cape rather than leaving it behind the specialized branches.

Launcher Refresh

Redesigned Apex launcher with featured content and live server information

The Apex launcher has been rebuilt into a clearer home for server information and updates. The new layout adds featured promotions and game media, server uptime, live player, Wilderness and staff counts, the active world boss and current event, plus a scrollable feed of website updates.

New Settings and Notifications controls bring client repair tools and alerts into one place. Players can control launcher animation, notification alerts, minimize-after-launch behaviour and Windows startup, while support tools provide quick access to game files, cache clearing, repair, logs and safe mode. Beta-client checks now run separately in the background so they do not block the normal live-client launch flow.

Vote Boss Pet Improvements

Lil destructor shown at a 1 in 1,000 drop rate

The pet chances from both vote bosses have been improved. Lil’ Creator from the Avatar of Creation and Lil’ Destructor from the Avatar of Destruction are now 1 in 1,000, reduced from 1 in 2,500.

Prepare for the Update

Choose the path that matches the way you want to play, but remember that the Radiant Cave is still deep Wilderness content. Bring only what you are prepared to risk, finish and claim assignments before switching paths, and save both Radiant materials for the UGM upgrades you actually want. For the bosses, movement and mechanic timing matter more than trying to out-damage every phase.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

This update also brings a substantial stability, combat, boss, and interface quality pass.

Gameplay and Server

Hardened NPC spawn rollback and removal cleanup to address NPC-index exhaustion, including cleanup for Yama's temporary fire NPCs.
Judge of Yama fireballs and fire surges now require the player to remain in the same instance, preventing spells from following players into unrelated zones.
Group Iron banks now block deposits and withdrawals during saving and close stale side interfaces, preventing the bank-wipe race.
Repeat Slayer-unlock purchases are now idempotent, so an unlocked perk cannot toggle off or reduce Completionist progress.
Gemstone Crab repositioning no longer invokes normal teleport cannon cleanup and reclaim.
The Temple Spider Slayer teleport now routes to Forthos Dungeon.
The Theatre of Blood Quick-entry action is bound directly to object option two instead of relying on an incorrect action-label lookup.
Nex rewards now use the shared NPC drop route, enabling existing pet auto-loot and bank fallback behavior.
Super antifire creation validates doses and output before consuming ingredients, preventing ingredient loss and invalid item 0.
The Magma Wand can now select Ancient autocast.
Successful chinchompa traps accept swapped Reset as collect-and-rearm.
Rune pouches no longer report a full-inventory failure after successfully emptying.
Pet pickup now protects against stale delayed actions.
Regular and ornate cannons cannot be placed inside Radiant Cave.
Ornate cannon unload and pickup return the actual loaded ammunition type, and ornate capacity is doubled.
Granite cannonballs now consume one cannonball and one granite dust per output.
Fortified Masori can be de-upgraded into regular Masori at the perk bench without returning plates or minerals. Other upgrade items remain excluded.

Combat Achievements

Nightmare 25- and 150-kill tasks now use the correct persisted counters.
Jad? What Are You Doing Here? now has a safe successful-Inferno completion check.
Tekton's Blind Spot and Anvil No More now use encounter state directly.
Gauntlet count checks now occur after kill count increments.
Corrupted Gauntlet Master now points to the correct achievement class.
Shared count achievements no longer complete one kill late.
Removed Thermonuclear Smoke Devil's duplicate kill-count increment.
Corrected Sarachnis Novice, Perfect Sire, Toppling the Diarchy, Zulrah speed tasks, Nex party sizing, Nightmare Explosion, Bloat equipment checking, Tombs of Amascut raid-wide deaths, Take That, and Nylocas freeze tracking.

Bosses and Loot

Doom of Mokhaiotl now uses an explicit weighted reward table with corrected delve scaling, unique rates, Earth runes, catalysts, bones, demon tears, and waystone amounts. Its loot viewer more closely represents runtime weighting.
Malakar loot eligibility now covers the full arena instead of only nearby NPC zones.
Balance Elemental normal and shiny pets now share one collection-log slot, and missing normal-pet NPC definitions were added.
Clue, mystery-box, and boss overhead reveals now respect rarity and protect against stale reveal queues.
World-boss areas now allow appropriate pets, and Avatar, Reaper, and Poltergeist viewer rates were corrected.

Interfaces and Cache

Repaired deposit-box cache corruption that caused a client crash.
Deposit inventory, equipment, and looting-bag buttons now use proper component IDs.
Mortimer's interface, button sizing, and assignment portraits were repaired.
Oversized Mortimer portraits for Araxyte, Smoke devil, Kurask, and Warped creatures were normalized.
Corrected the Maggot King scoreboard layout and Account-tab Luck clipping.
Delve Deeper's reward grid now creates enough rows and uses the correct scrollbar.
