Apex runs a set of minigames alongside the main game. Most are worth doing for a specific reward rather than as general training, so this page focuses on what each one is actually for.

Pest Control

Three landers, gated by combat level. Higher difficulties pay more commendation points per game.

Reach it with ::pestcontrol.

You must actually participate

There is an activity requirement. If your activity score is under 50 at the end of the game you get nothing, and the Void Knight tells you so:

The knights noticed your lack of zeal in that battle and have not presented you with any points.

Standing idle in the corner does not work. Attack pests and portals.

Rewards on a win

Commendation points for the lander you played
Bonus points from supporter rank, from +1 at Bronze up to +7 at Supreme Donator
Between 3,000 and 7,000 coins

If the Void Knight dies, the game is failed and nobody receives points regardless of activity.

What to spend points on

Void gear is the main draw. Once you have a void set, the Elite void top and robe are guaranteed 100% upgrades for 10,000,000 coins each. See the Upgrade Recipes guide.

Wintertodt

A Firemaking skilling boss. Reach it with ::wt or ::wintertodt.

Good Firemaking experience and a supply-heavy reward crate. The Phoenix pet comes from here.

Tempoross

A Fishing skilling boss. Reach it with ::tempoross.

Fishing experience plus bulk fish, which is the cheapest way to keep yourself stocked for boss trips. Tiny tempor is the pet and gives +2% Fishing experience.

Barrows

Reach it with ::barrows.

Run the six brothers and the tunnels for the chest. Barrows appears in the daily task pool, so check ::dailies before a run in case it lines up.

Nightmare Zone

Dream-based combat training against bosses you have already fought. Useful for AFK-leaning combat experience and for the points shop.

Blast Furnace

Faster Smithing at the cost of coal. Worth it if you are pushing Smithing specifically rather than casually levelling.

Warriors' Guild

Reach it with ::warriorsguild. Tokens are spent on the animated armour rooms, and the defender ladder runs from bronze up to the dragon defender.

Battlegrounds

Unrated team PvP. Join with ::battlegrounds or ::bgs, and leave with ::leavebg.

Unrated means there is nothing at stake beyond the match itself.

Last Man Standing

Reach it with ::lms. Everyone starts on equal footing, so it is decided by play rather than by gear.

Tournaments

::tournament enters the tournament area. Tournaments run on a schedule with preset loadouts, so like LMS your own gear does not decide the outcome.

Which to prioritise

Pest Control if you want void, which feeds directly into Elite void.
Tempoross if you want free supplies. It pays for the food on your next several boss trips.
Wintertodt if you want Firemaking levels without buying logs.
Warriors' Guild early, since the dragon defender carries all the way to the Avernic and then into the Corrupted offhand upgrade.
