Apex runs a Discord bot that connects to your in-game account. Linking takes a minute and unlocks the points shop, referral codes and role syncing.

Linking your account

Linking is done from in game, not from Discord.

Type ::link in game.
You are given a one-time code.
In Discord, type !verify followed by that code.

The code expires after 24 hours. If you are already linked, ::link tells you so rather than issuing a new code.

Link before you spend anything. The points shop and referral system both identify you by your linked account, and neither works while unlinked.

Bot commands

These are the commands available to everyone. Type !help in Discord to see the list in the server.

`!guess`	Submits a guess in the currently running Discord game
`!help`	Lists the commands available to you
`!get-levels (name)`	Shows every skill level for that player
`!get-level (skill) (name)`	Shows one skill level. Accepts a skill name or number
`!get-xp (name)`	Shows experience in every skill, plus overall
`!get-equip (name)`	Shows what that player has equipped

The lookup commands read from the hiscores, so the player does not need to be online for them to work.

Staff and developers see additional commands in !help that are not available to regular members.

Discord Points shop

Discord points are earned through activity in the Discord server, and they are spent on in-game rewards.

Using it

The shop is a client plugin, not a Discord command. It is called Discord Points shop and is enabled by default, appearing as a panel in your client sidebar.

Open the sidebar panel.
Browse the catalogue. Items are grouped by category and show their cost.
Buy what you want. Points are deducted immediately.
In game, type ::claimshop to receive the items.

::claimpoints and ::claimpointshop do the same thing.

Notes

Pending purchases are also delivered automatically when you next log in, so ::claimshop is a manual top-up rather than a requirement.
Your point balance only resolves if your account is linked. Unlinked accounts cannot see a balance or purchase.
If you do not have enough points the shop tells you your balance and the cost, so you know how far off you are.
The catalogue is managed by staff and changes over time, so check the panel rather than relying on a fixed list.

Referral Codes plugin

A second client plugin, also enabled by default, called Referral Codes. It lists the currently active referral codes so you can browse and claim them without hunting through Discord.

Claim a code in game with ::ref or ::redeem followed by the code.

One claim per person

Referral claims are limited to one per player, and that limit is enforced by account name, hardware ID and IP address together. Alternate accounts on the same machine or connection cannot claim the same code again.

Codes can also carry an expiry date and a maximum number of total claims, so an active-looking code may still be closed. The plugin shows what is currently claimable.

Roles

The bot syncs Discord roles against your in-game account, so supporter ranks and staff positions are reflected automatically once you are linked.

Booster and Server Tag rewards

If you boost the server or use the server tag, you can be issued a reward code. Redeem it in game with ::reward followed by the code.
