Combat achievements are a set of 419 tasks spread across six tiers. Completing them awards points, and your point total sets your tier. The tier itself is what matters, because it feeds into several other systems rather than just sitting on your profile.

Tiers and points

Each achievement is worth points equal to its tier weight, so a Master task is worth five times an Easy one.

The point requirement for a tier is the total value of every achievement at that tier and below. Reaching Grandmaster therefore means completing effectively all 419 tasks, not just the 64 Grandmaster ones.

What your tier does

This is the part players most often miss. Your combat achievement tier is not cosmetic, it applies real bonuses across three separate systems.

Superior slayer encounters

Your tier improves the superior spawn roll on top of any supporter rank bonus.

Item breakdown yield

Higher tiers return more minerals and enhancers from every item you break down.

If you are sitting on a stockpile of gear to break, push to the next tier first. The bonus applies to everything you break afterwards.

Ghommal rewards

Each tier unlocks the next reward from Ghommal, including the avernic defender upgrades that carry through to the endgame melee setup.

Where the tasks are

The 419 tasks are spread across essentially every piece of combat content on the server. The rough shape of it:

Easy and Medium are mostly slayer monsters and low tier bosses. Both tiers fall out naturally from normal slayer.
Hard brings in God Wars, the Dagannoth Kings and the wilderness bosses.
Elite is where raids start appearing, along with speed and restriction tasks at the mid tier bosses.
Master is the largest tier at 114 tasks, and covers raid speedruns and the harder solo bosses.
Grandmaster is the Inferno, raid perfection tasks and the most demanding restriction runs.

How to approach it

Do not chase tasks early. Easy and Medium complete themselves while you train slayer.
Check the interface before a boss trip. Many tasks are just "kill this boss" and you will complete several without changing anything.
Elite at 704 points is the first tier with a material reward attached, so that is the first one worth deliberately pushing for.
Group the restriction tasks. If a boss has three tasks asking for different restrictions, plan a trip that satisfies all of them rather than three separate trips.
