The collection log records one of every item you have ever obtained from a given source. It fills in automatically as you play, so there is nothing to opt into and nothing to claim.

Open it with ::clog, or from the journal tab.

How it works

The log is split into categories, and each category into subcategories. A subcategory is usually a single boss, minigame or activity, and it lists every item that source can drop.

When you receive an item for the first time, its slot fills in permanently. Getting it again does nothing, so the log measures variety rather than volume.

Entries never un-fill, even if you drop or lose the item
Only items you obtain yourself count, not items traded to you
Each subcategory shows how many of its slots you have filled

What it is actually useful for

Most players treat the log as a completion goal, which it is, but it has two practical uses worth more than that:

Checking a drop table before you go

The log lists every item a source can drop, whether or not you have it. Before committing to a grind, open the relevant entry and see what is actually on the table. It is faster than asking, and it is the server's own data rather than someone's memory.

Tracking what you are missing

Filled slots are obvious, empty ones are the ones that matter. If you are one item off completing a boss's log, that is a concrete goal rather than an open-ended grind.

Clue scrolls

Clue rewards are tracked across all tiers, and the totals combine so your clue progress reads as one figure rather than six separate ones.

Filling it faster

Everything that improves your drop rate improves how quickly the log fills, since new entries come from rare drops more often than common ones:

Supporter rank, up to +7% drop rate
Experience mode, up to +20%
Ring of wealth at +3%, or amulet of avarice at +5%
Treasure Hunter equipment perk, +1% per level on a ring
Drop rate scrolls from the vote streak

A note on pets

Pets count as collection log entries, and most of them carry a real bonus while out. Filling the pet section is one of the few completion goals that also makes your account stronger. See the Pets guide.
